Silky and Jacquardy

This is what I wore.
I liked it very much.
The patterns are splendid.
Silky and jacquardy.

Olive Oyl boots
Not a toe box but a toe cave
Aaah.
I capped the patterns with my dark beret, gloves, and shoes.
Otherwise, these patterns would have been leaking down my limbs.

Inspired by Megan Mae and her Mori Girl styling.

Details:
silky dress, thrifted, homemade (that neon lime at the hem is the dress lining)
jacquard jacket, thrifted
beret, thrifted
Olive Oyl boots, thrifted
tights and socks, retail
gloves, retail
seafoam underskirt, thrifted
dark brown turtleneck, thrifted

Going to Visible Monday. Thanks, Patti. Hostess with the mostest.
Going to check out the lay-deez.

  15. That jacket is heavenly - good thing you got those boots to weigh you down! I'm all about the toe cave as well, which is why I love my shiny blue boots so much. The floaty sherbet-y colours of your many underlayers are soooooo pretty!

  23. Love the colors and pattern in your jacket. And the boots....
I saw a pair similar at the thrift store months ago in both brown and black...picked them up...and though "no, I don't need those", and put them back. How many times since have I wished I'd bought both pair of those boots? Too many to count. I tear up thinking about how I could have been so dodo brained as to pass up the perfect boot.

  24. splendid indeed, the jacquard pattern and fabric are just fantastic, like something from an 18th century dandy's waistcoat. The skirt is so floaty and summery and the boots are indeed very Olive Oyl. It's all wonderful!

  25. What a gift you have! You are a chameleon and able to weave magical stories with your outfits. Parisian diva one day, and fairy tale forest girl the next.

Very cool use of colour with the hemlines. Just what we need on these gray days.

In regard to the comment you left:
It was a good time . . . our daughter refers to it as one of our "Geezer Parties", but she has been calling it that for 20 years, :)
Wishing you sunny skies or a great umbrella.
Oh my, I'll bet you have a collection. Have you ever done an umbrella post?
