Yay! Thank you so much Melanie!! My first ever award!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so much fun! I am travelling home to Portugal this weekend but I'll do my award acceptance post and nominate new people next week!
Ha! I hear Nessie speaks highly of you too, what's a motivation board, and watch out for Prince Harry in that Royal Yacht, unless you wanna get nekkid.
ReplyDeleteI too get overwhelmed by too much choice (not just about ice cream though) and I have no wedding dress gene either, thank heavens! What did you do with the Japanese pop idols, I'm fascinated to know.
As usual, your questions, answers and facts are brilliant! xxxxxx
I am so with you on cellphones. It drives me up the wall when people have really loud conversations and in places where they should not be (restrooms, for goodness sakes, the person on the other end can hear everything!)
ReplyDeleteWorking with Pop Idols in Japan...do tell more.
ReplyDeleteI love your sports activity, "walking in heels"!
I wish I had stronger nails too. Very fun post.
I loved reading this and I'm delighted blogging's brought together a group of women with no enthusiasm for prancing around in wedding dresses!I'm puzzled by the motivational board and why anyone could possibly prefer flats to heels! xxx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your prestigious award! I am chuffed that I am finally trendy for not owning a cell phone (never have, don't see the point).
ReplyDelete"Motivational board"? Crap, I just flunked being a costume designer.
ReplyDeletePS: I never make renderings either. Double flunk!
Congratulations on yet another award, Ms. Melanie. And one that requires such diligence too! Glad to learn I'm in the vanguard without a cellphone and I do wish I hadn't tossed all those platform shoes from the 70's...
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, I am honored to be Liebstered by such a style icon as yourself and look forward to preparing my acceptance speech, etc., etc.
Cheers!
Love your facts about you, you are indeed unique
ReplyDeleteYou should elaborate about - You worked with pop idols in Japan? Really? i want to know more!
Congrats on the award!
Have a good weekend

Melanie!!!! Thank you so much for the Wonderful Award! I am especially honored since you are one of my absolute Favorites in the whole wide world! Plus I am in the company of the awesome Hello the Mushroom. This is too much. I am, however, mired in the muck of life. I will be back soon to fulfill my awardial duties.
ReplyDeleteEnormous Hug!

ps I'm certain you were a beautiful baby. I mean, look at you NOW!!!!
Thank you, Melanie!!! I'm wicked stoked to be so honoured - by you! - after under two weeks blogging, and especially to be included among such stellar company. Constructing my Liebster post is just the thing to galvanize me into post-cold action.
ReplyDeleteYour facts, rather than being of the cold and hard variety, are deeply fascinating. I am slain!
P.S. I'm also thrilled to meet other non-cell-phoners. Hi!
Yes, inquiring minds want to know just what you did with Pop Idols in Japan! Excellent choice of totem, and I can't wait to see your book when it's finished!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to lean so many things about you - but not one bit surprised that you'd be the Nessie of the totem family - you are rare, illusive and sometimes like to pop your head up in strange places just to stir everyone up and keep them guessing!
ReplyDeleteHey Melanie. I just fulfilled my Leibster award obligations. =)
ReplyDeleteStellar! It's quite a job...
DeleteSounds like you've struck a nerve #nocellphones. I'm a proud member of the club myself.
ReplyDeleteSignificant swearing now ensues!! I've just finished my blog about Japan and if I'd known that I would've pestered you for information and an interview! I love your answers. They're both thoughtful and hilarious. It's fantastic to find out more about you
ReplyDeleteIntriguing responses to all questions by a well deserved awardee! And new bloggers for me to check out. The fun never ends.
ReplyDeleteOMG,you're fabulous! Such brillance! I too lack the wedding cake frock ecstasy gene, and I too agree the individual to effect global change.I KNOW women are not more peace loving than men!!!Steve Buscemi would be my choice,Portia is too thin.Charles and Ed are intechnagable,I reckon.
ReplyDeleteO,wearing heels as a sport!YES! I adore your answers, and your questions are amazeballs! I sense another career here,as a superb interviewer!!
I was not cured, incidentally, but was happy to have conquered!I was pretty rough yesterday, but much better today and gagging for more!Let's make air guitar videos,or something like that...........hmmmmmmmmmmm

ReplyDeleteI'm feverishly preparing a speech Melanie. Thanks so much for the nomination and congratulations to you!
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie!
ReplyDeleteOh really? When have you been to China? What brought you there? :)
You know what, you reminds me a lot Françoise Hardy! :)
This has nothing to do with age, just the way you are artistic, free and stylish... For that reason, I always thought that you were French :D
Anyways, really like your univers! :)
Ben
Wow! I looove Francoise Hardy! I'm emailing you about China.
DeleteNessssie! My favorite crypto-zoo animal. I can't really tell one wedding dress from the next, at least why it causes some people to cry. You're a fascinating person!
ReplyDeletehelloo Melanie, thank you very much, I'm honored... I'll follow the rules in my next post... big big hug for you...
