Picture book Monday, redemption

 My picture book for Monday.

Patti is in New York so Visible Monday is all in my head. And in a cage of wood and wire.
Details: Marni sundress, thrifted; teal tights, sample sale; wood/leather platform sandals, Michael Kors, thrifted; graphic turtleneck, thrifted; magic pendant and magic loupe, made for me by O; wool shawl, retail long ago.
I hope you are all having a Monday that makes you feel visible too.
Just as a reminder, only four days until the VOGOFF submission deadline...

  3. What a great place to take photos - I was imagining its some kind of animal facility! Your outfit is lovely today, as always, I am impressed with how you wear patterns. I would never think of wearing a sun dress with a turtle neck. Just read about your boot do-up - they are gorgeous!!!!

  6. I really relate to photo #2.
This is not my favorite national holiday.
Photo #3 reminds me that the worst day can be redeemable.
Beyond the story, that's a great dress! The tights and little shoes are perfect with it.
    Thanks for the mid-evening pick-me-up!
    Have a great week, Mel.

  10. Here I was looking at the first picture thinking, Oh, Melanie looks so sweet in teal tights and pretty shoes and a dress. Nothing overly weird, just pretty. Then you turn into a raging Mick Jagger ("When the whip comes down!") and completely blew the first image. Then Mother Teresa. I am so confused.

  11. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
    You are DIVOON!
Rawr, nothing like feeling caged in to heat up the blood! I don't think it's gonna hold you, I think you're gonna BLOW!

  12. Not everyone can manage an open mouthed rawr and still look glamorous. You pulled it off! Or maybe I was influenced by the classic pretty-ness of #1. It doesn't matter, because clearly you achieved sainthood by #3. In a cage, no less!

  13. Wake Up Sue! Okay, I'm paying attention Melanie...you really did have my at the first photo. I love how you've worked photo magic in the bowels of your apartment building. Quite loving your outfit today too. The tights picking up the the turquoise in the sundress...which is gorgeous by the way...and the play of print between the t-neck and the dress. Well done.

  15. When I see the shape of your clothes and your pose in the first image I think of when Shalom Harlow were spray painted by Alexander McQueen.

  36. Good things come to those who thrift!!! But it helps if you know how to pull it all together, as you so clearly do. The colors here knock me out, as well as the proportions. xxxxxoooooo

  39. Your really lovely comments on my blog somehow got flagged as spam :-(
I've seen to it that your feedback will appear from this point forward - sorry!
I can't say enough good things about this look! I own teal tights, too and I'm crazy about them in combination with the sundress and the pattern mixing is sublime. The fact that the majority of the items are thrifted makes it even more impressive!
