Check out how palatially-spatial these palazzo pants are. Oooh yeah. But I've showed them to you before. What I haven't shown you before are this alphabet blouse and fringe madness jerkin. (Thanks, Vix, for the word. I hope I've used it correctly. I always confuse it with the pickle.)

These patterns seduced me with song; they didn't whisper or shout.
What I heard went something like this... Voulez-vous...
If you have a pattern that sings, shouts, or just whispers to you, think about joining Jane George for this inaugural link-up. Her blog is AWESOME! Have a great week, everyone.
aggghhhhh!!!! no my darling...YOU ARE AWESOME!!! What an incredible outfit! I adore it! this is a screamer, a seducer, a voice that simply cannot be ignored! You are truly magnificent! If this ones for me then I am the luckiest gal in blog world! Thank you xxxxxx

Are you 7 feet tall? Have you grown since I last saw you? You look astonishingly long and lithe and limber, not to mention luscious in those Giant Paisley Pants. I need a closer look at the flowery spotty alphabet-y shirt, my eyes are a bit old and easily bedazzled and I can't quite make out what is what. It happens a lot...
ReplyDeleteI am strangely happy to see you sporting your trusty beret, Mel. She seems to have had a little holiday, but is now back at home. On your head. Beautiful.
Yes, I've linked up over at Jane's. My pattern was talking a load of drunken nonsense, which is typical of me! xxxxx
I would say awesome trousers but that is just an understatement really!
ReplyDeleteoh, those giant trousers - they are making me crazy with envy! fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThese pants make you loooooonger I agree with Curtise you are still growing. The pants with that blouse are surely a pattern mixing party. I salute you, because that beret makes me want too.
ReplyDeletexxoo
Those pants are incredible --- love the mixing!
ReplyDeleteblue hue wonderland
This wonderful outfit makes me think of a gaucho. I think you need a horse or maybe a colorful gypsy wagon. Ole!
ReplyDeletewhat great pants!!
ReplyDeleteDUDE. I compelled Beary to come see the most tremendous pants ever in existence (at very least on par with Curtise's designer crotch-yellow-bracketing trous), his response was "WOW. How tall is she ... 19 feet?" We salute you.
ReplyDeleteKudos to Jane George for the new gathering! Will be along as able.
xo
Sacre bleu! Je veux coucher avec les culottes!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are my internet angel in those pants and jerkin!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Soul Sistah. Look at you wearing an awesome pickle and probably the BEST big pants I have ever seen in my life! Tres Belle!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that no pickles were harmed in this post. Love your paisley pants!
ReplyDeleteThose are simply amazing trousers! I love the jerkin too, I had a patchwork 70s jerkin for years, I'm not sure what became of it!
ReplyDeleteEveryone should have a pair of wonderful paisley pants.......the best trousers ever.
ReplyDeleteWorn with a jerkin makes it just the pickle to!!!!!
Fabulous as always....
love V
I adore your commentary just as much as your outfit (your allusion to mixing jerkin and gherkin saw me snorting in laughter at my screen, while also instantly imaging you wearing a pickle. And THAT then reminded me of the pickle car in Richard Scarry illustrations - so then I visualised you wearing a gherkin and driving round in an open-top pickle car. This is the effect you have!)
ReplyDeleteA super-abundance of fabulous going on in this post.
It's the attack of the 50 Foot Woman in Print Palazzo Pants! Forget stopping traffic - you could stop a charging Rhino in those pants.
ReplyDeleteI always think of Gherkin whenever Vix mentions a Jerkin, and I love Rosalind's image of you driving around in an open-top pickle car.
What we have here is a pattern EXTRAVAGANZA! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteYou look/are AMAZING! Have you been drinking Alice-in-Wonderland's tonic?
ReplyDeletewouua, hurrah for your palazzo pants, they're über palaced (I couldn't find better words!) and pretty psychedelic!!, and such a great outfit with that shirt and jerkin/vest/whatever!!, love its fringes!
ReplyDeletebesos & colores
woah!! Your bended my mind with your psycadellicness
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic outfit for Jane's When Patterns Speak; this speaks loudly of the most amazing hallucinogenic glamour. It's how a cowboy would look dressed by Ossie Clark, and you carry it off with your brilliant insouciant charm and panache Mel!
ReplyDeleteHoly fecking HSOTBOX!!!
ReplyDeleteThose palazzo pants deserve a blog of their own; they're AMAZING!!!

You look great! The pants are awesome.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow! Those paisley pants are the size of India! Magnificent.
ReplyDeleteI have been rendered speechless.
ReplyDeleteStunned, simply stunned by the glory of this ensemble. Ahhhhhhhhhhh.....
Melanie, you make me careen around until I'm dizzy with joy. Is the the air in Vancouver? Is it something you secretly sprinkle in the food? Whatever it is, I want some!! Your palazzos are divine, and the jerkin (not to be confused with gherkin!) is a masterpiece. Just today I was bemoaning the fact that there's no outsider/fashion inspiration here. Guess I might have to move. In the meantime, I know where I'll be in the blogosphere. You're amazing. XXOO
ReplyDeleteOMG you look amazing!!! That alphabet shirt is the big shizzy!!!
ReplyDeleteLove palazzo pants and the way you pull all these things together!
ReplyDeleteYou look about 20 feet tall in these leggy palazzo pants! I bet you were swooshing and twirling a lot to get that jerkin (as opposed to gherkin) fringe going.
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss female pattern boldness and your once again amazing ensemble. Jerkin is a word that I use now too. Vix has increased my vocabulary, along with many other bloggers in this vibrant community
ReplyDeleteWANT THOSE TROUSERS. Man alive, you could conquer the world in them :-)
ReplyDeletethose palazzo pants are just fantastic! the size! The pattern! They look stunning on you. The fringed jerkin is wonderful too, you just find the most amazing stuff and make it look like art xxxx
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what "palazzo pants" means, but do know that you look Great in palazzo pants.
ReplyDeleteYou are ALL awesome. LOVE the pants, and oh yes, the patterns and the colours and the layering and the magnificence... you sing your siren song to me, Miz Bagg, and I must obey.
ReplyDeleteSarah xxx
